Good question. I still saw him driving the C5 hooptie a few weeks ago

I spoke to him last weekend. He has the whole top end pulled apart, and was waiting on ported heads and a little baby cam to show up in the mail.

I bet some old oil was hiding in those heads and on the cam, you wouldn't suggest a half-ass change would you?

I think Clyde was one of the first persons I saw using the advanced "oil change" technique. I know him changing my oil was one of the biggest performance improvements I've experienced. Waaaaaaay better than jiffy lube.

I've been gallivanting around in Baton Rouge this week. Chris is correct, the legend of dropped LS7 valves was all the encouragement I needed to pull the heads and send them off to Frankenstein for new bronze guides, new exhaust valves, springs, and port work. A medium duration cam from Cam Motion found it's way to my house, along with a used set of Kooks headers. Planning to top it off with an MSD intake. It's all sitting there waiting on me to put it back together.

Driving the car for a month in stock condition just wasn't enough of a difference from the C5 to justify the purchase price. I hope engine upgrades make me feel better about spending all this money.

It will be a completely different car when you’re finished.

I need to ride in a HCI C6Z. I've driven a stock one, but I think a HCI car will be my next big car purchase.
