Post by SCV8 » Thu Aug 31, 2017 4:46 pm

Are there any local shops who can do a good job at chrome plating wheels?

Thank you!

There was a place that does chrome bumpers. I think BBmike used them. He will chime in.

It's a lot of surface area to mask off. If you don't mask off that's a lot of chrome material wasted that will never be seen.

Call or email Dallas Plating in Dallas, GA. I stopped by their shop last week when I was in the area and they will be doing some parts for me in the not so distant future.

Kennemer is doing powder coated chrome now. New powder just came out last week called Ultra chrome. That might be and option. Fastlane Metalworx on FB.

Wow, I like this option! Maybe this new Ultra chrome will look more like the real thing.

Thank you for the headsup on this!

I agree. I've got another set that are powder coated gloss black and they've held up beautifully. I've never actually had chrome. Maybe better not to start haha
