I kind of like the idea of replacing the v6 with a 4cyl if they desgin it all right. then keep the 5.0 for the gt and the 5.8 for the snakes.

they have been talking about the irs forever now. while I do like mine, i see alot of mustang owners not.
what do you mean i can't power out of wheel hop?

just so people know, thats a photoshop of the ford evos concept. nobody knows what the next mustang will look like yet. as far as weight goes i think the mustangand all the ponycars will look to lighten up. its the only way to hit the mpg targets. when i was reading about the 2013 altima i thought it was a typo when they said it weighed 3100lbs. the new altima also gets 38mpg and improved acceleration. surely if nissan can make their midsize sedan lighter than their own 2 seat sports car, ford can drop some pounds off the lightest car in the pony segment.
89 Mustang LX... Are these jack stands welded to my car?

this shit happens regularly with cars... remember when the C7 Corvette was going to be a mid engine, lower displaced, high revving, possibly twin-turbo V8?

exactly

Every (production) Corvette since the '70s was supposed to go mid-engine, according to the magazines. I laugh every time I read any article about the next gen Corvette.

If this happens they learned absolutely nothing from the Probe. Thought they would sneak it in as the next Mustang, enthusiasts protested, came out under another name and died.

As long as they learned not to make it an FWD car with a bunch of stuff out of the Mazda parts bin and name it after unwanted bodily insertion, then I think it will probably be fine.

I would like to see a larger 4 cyl turbo car again esp if they cut the weight down...Im a big fan of the 2.3T from the 80's, but never had time to build mine up so i sold it.

They better make sure a fox-body 8.8 rear fits in the back or the mustang guys will have a hot dip shit fit.

This is not the Mustang concept. This is the Ford Evo concept car.

We're looking more at something like this:
