Big 3 push U.S. factories to capacity

The rebound of the American automobile industry has plants across the country running all-out.

By the end of the year, all three Detroit automakers will be operating at more than 100 percent capacity in North America — a major turnaround for an industry that saw plant utilization fall below 50 percent three years ago.

"All three companies were running below 100 percent last year," said manufacturing expert Ron Harbour, a senior partner at Oliver Wyman. "By my estimate, we now show all three of them running over 100 percent."

What good is it to push up production if you can't sell what's on the lots? That's the measure of how well a company is doing. I know GM is doing this to say "hey look at how good we are doing!"

Because........I'm the Crypt Keeper Bitch!

I highly doubt GM will ever close. That company is too big and too important to america, so Ill believe it when I see it.

^What he said. The company is to "important" to America because our government now has a vested interest in a section of industry that they shouldn't have any interest in.
