Seems like I heard there is supposed to be a V-8 RWD coupe from Hyundai in the works. The new Tiburon, maybe?

That was the Genesis Coupe that was rumored to have a V8 option. Unfortunately, just the Genesis sedan's get the V8.

I will be completely honest....

I have said for years that had the Tibby been RWD, I would have bought one by now.

I like it but it just sucks that they rip everyone's designs off.

I dig it. I think it looks good, I'd LOVE to have one with a 4B11 (or the v8). It's just too bad it's a Hyundai. After all the warranty insanity I've heard about Korean cars lately, I could never bring myself to buy one. Ever.

Is it really going to have the 4b11?

If so, I'd easily choose it over the v6 option...
The evo X is responding very well to mods, so if it has the same motor... :bj:

The engine is a "4b11" but from what I understand they are not quite the same as what's in the Evo or Ralliart. The 4b11 design is a shared "world" design between Hyundai (Genesis), Mitsu (Evo, Ralliart) and Daimler (SRT).

While the designs are similar, how they are built (casting procedures, etc.) and with what components (internals, turbo, etc.) are all different and up to the manufacturer.

It will be interesting when the Genesis' 4b11 is torn down next to an Evo X engine and we see what the differences are.

Hyundai gave a bunch of these to tuners for them to start testing with. I haven't heard ONE bad thing from any of them about the car. Every report has been glowing.

The ~$25k market is looking very good right now.

Video of that one in the pics with a single exhaust. It's the V6 version and it sounds like a 350z to me.
