WANTED: Old WASR-10 AK-47
I need an older WASR to convert to a machine gun. I'm specifically looking for one from the mid-late 2000s thru about 2014. These are the ones with the bare plywood looking stocks on them and they have a triangle and a year of manufacture stamped into the trunnion. They usually have crooked sights a...

An Explorer 8.8 is also a bulletproof fairly easy swap into a tj as well. Done a few of them. 200 bucks gets a complete axle with a decent locker and 33 spline axles. No narrowing required and already the proper lug pattern. Just weld new perches on and go. Explorers are 31 spline. Still great, but...

Dude up the street from me (first house on the right if you've ever been to my 'hood) built a Bell H-13 in his garage from parts he bought at various auctions and shit. I never saw it fly, but heard him crank it up a few times. I reckon once he got the airframe and engine together in one piece he tr...

The compression on the two "bad" holes is still pretty good. Certainly not bad enough to think it would be causing a misfire. I too would be inclined to just replace the coil packs and roll out. Does your OBD scanner tell you which specific cylinders are misfiring? If so, you can swap the coils arou...

So an absolutely maximum effort engine built by arguably the very best engine builder around, at a cost probably well into the 30k range, made as much power as a stock '03-04 Cobra engine with a whipple. I think it's safe to say that trying to make good power with a N/A mod motor is a losing battle.

There is a very high probability that one of the timing chain tensioners broke, not that it has a bearing problem. Have you checked oil pressure with a mechanical gauge yet? If nothing else, tear the front cover off before you go and yank the whole engine. It's a very common failure on those engines...
